Overview
Parking in cities is frustrating in a specific way — you know the space exists, you just can't find it fast enough. Parkly was a class project built around solving that: reducing the time and uncertainty of finding, comparing, and reserving parking in busy urban areas. User interviews surfaced three consistent pain points: finding available spots quickly, understanding pricing at a glance, and knowing whether EV charging was available. The design centers on a map-based search with availability indicators and a streamlined reservation flow — the hardest part was balancing information density on the map without overwhelming the screen. After several iterations, the booking flow got users from search to confirmed reservation in as few steps as possible.
